FRET WORKSHOP FELLOWSHIPS AVAILABLE

Again this year, HCS is pleased to support the FLIM and FRET Microscopy Imaging Protein - Protein Interaction Workshop with two fellowships, each $1000. For information about the workshop, visit the FRET website. 

To apply for a fellowship to attend the workshop, please send letter of intent, recommendation letter, CV, and proof of workshop registration.  Applications must be received by: February 9, 2018. Send applications materials to HCS.

NEW Award Program! 
HCS Travel Awards in Imaging and Histochemistry (HCS-TA-IHC)

Introduced in September 2017 The HCS Travel Awards in Imaging and Histochemistry are designed to encourage members or potential new members to attend or speak at society sanctioned workshops, courses, meetings or conferences.  Awards will be available on a rolling basis and specific opportunities will be advertised on this website. Awards will be available to members at three career levels: Invited speaker, invited instructor, and travel award.  See below for more information about this new award category.

Specific opportunities to apply for these awards will be posted periodically. Check back for events and deadlines for these awards. HCS membership is required upon receipt of award. Award categories and descriptions are as follows:  

Invited Speaker

  1. Activity: Invited scientific or policy presentation to a recognized scientific meeting or science policy event.
  2. Award: Reimbursement up to $5,000 per speaker.
  3. Target: Experienced scientist or subject matter expert.

Invited Instructor

  1. Activity: Sponsored lecture at a scientific workshop, course, or event.
  2. Award: Up to $3,000 per speaker.
  3. Target: Experienced subject matter expert.

Travel Award

  1. Activity: Attend a Society sanctioned workshop, course, or event.
  2. Award: Up to $1,000/individual.
  3. Target: Junior Faculty, Staff Scientist, Post-Doctorate Fellow (or equivalent), graduate student, or advanced undergraduate student.
