HCS Outstanding Young Investigator Award


The HCS will present this highly prestigious award to a promising early career investigator who demonstrates scientific excellence through the utilization of histochemical and/or imaging techniques.

The OYIA winner will:
1) present their research findings in a 45 min platform lecture and
2) be provided with all reasonable travel expenses to attend the Annual Meeting and short course (if applicable). Applicants not receiving the OYIA will be encouraged to present their research findings in poster format at the Annual Meeting.

Eligibility:
Applicants must:
1) be within 10 years of their terminal degree
2) be nominated by their research mentors and submit a letter of nomination with their application package
3) submit an abstract summary of their research (limit 1 page) along with their CV;
4) be an HCS member
 
The Awards Committee will determine if a meritorious candidate exists amongst the applicant pool, and if so a winner will be announced prior to the Annual Meeting.
